Doesn't matter what earnings are or what they will be. Just saying the economy will open up soon is enough to forget earnings. The excuse will be that this was going to happen and that its already priced in. However I think stocks are more expensive now than they were at February historical highs!!!

S$p earnings are going to drop well well well well well well below $160!!!

Expert who called the 2008 crisis says the signal to sell stocks is coming soon
Published: April 27, 2020 at 12:07 p.m. ET

He said the narrative that the Fed printing money would causes a dollar collapse was “very wrong.”

The chief executive of Global Macro Investor, who predicted the 2008 financial crisis, said: “You see the biggest problem the world faces is the dollar. We are in a viscous doom loop where slowing growth causes the dollar to rise, which causes slower growth, which causes the dollar to rise, as all borrowers play musical chairs to get access to the dollar to service debts.

“Dollar swap lines, QE, jawboning, etc. have done nothing to stop this,” he added in a post on Twitter.

He said no printing of money — by the Federal Reserve — would solve what he described as a “structural” problem. “All attempts to create more money to solve the dollar standard issue tend to devalue all fiat versus gold. Gold is rallying on debt deflation probabilities.”

But the fed printed in 2008 and won!

How it moves now is totally explosive. It's going to blow off very soon.
Market is definitely like terminal junkie right now

Fed will need to mandate not bottom only but also rate of growth, because it looks like there will be blow offs every 2 months and they will have to intervene each time

Futures bright green for more free money today. Earnings even though most will miss and guide much lower it only means higher markets. I think the bigger the crisis the better stocks do.

Heard today that 150 out of 500 s$p stocks are higher today than they were a year ago!!!

Let that sink in for a moment.

150 companies on the s$p are trading higher today from a year ago!!!!

Thats nearly 1/3 of the s$p!!!

I should be surprised, but I'm not.

Yep another one not reporting a full year outlook. Pepsi did so as wel

Keep yanking those outlooks. Gotta low ball every earnings so that just a micro beat on eps will look absolutely amazing. Rinse and repeat.
