Summer just started and history suggests a sunny forecast. In the 35 times since 1950 when the S&P 500 rose at least 3 percent heading into the first day of the season, the full year was positive every time.

Did anyone know this?

So not once in nearly 40 years has the Dow closed down more than 8 days in a row??

Stocks traded higher on Friday as investors tried to shake off any jitters concerning trade tensions between the U.S. and China.

The Dow Jones Industrial Averagerose 150 points, with Chevron and Exxon Mobil as the best-performing stocks in the index. The Dow closed lower on Thursday for the eighth day in a row. If the 30-stock index falls again, it would post its longest losing streak dating back to 1978.

Friday SPX was an inside day and Dow basically as well. And although both ES and YM were up, $BKX $XBD $TRAN and $SOX in particular were down big.

Historically Mondays often continue Fridays trend unless something develops in the meantime to change sentiment. In this case Tweety Trump seem to only reinforce what traders are already nervous about.
