Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

<i>"I heard the same thing 4 years ago.... some reading for your enjoyment.. oh and please check the dates of the posts...... thanks!"</i>

Excellent predictions... with all markets off significantly from recent highs, VIX coming off nosebleed levels, etc.

Would you say the same conditions exist in markets today as they did back then? Do you see any differences four years into the bull run later here?

nope

Personally,I would be careful espousing the "risk free cash machine " outlook, attitude I see some believing here. This thing could turn on a dime out of nowhere and slap the yin yang out of people.
Having seen many clients get burned BADLY during the crashes of 87 and 89-esp. those naked put writers, heavy on margin,etc...- I would temper my excess enthusiasm and practice some prudence here.
what is the saying...pigs get slaughtered ??:)

Read a peice today that said that in the '80s 20% was the RoR expected for taking ATM risk. Looking at the premium on options today on IBM for example the figure is 11%. Risk is perceived as being very low here.

"This time is different"..right ?? "No risk at all"...right ?? I'd just be careful.. keep on selling those otm naked puts.

Im the one saying its not different..... I have been saying its not different for 4 years now....
