When republicans promise a secure border as a result of caving on amnesty we best remember that the great icon, one worshiped by every republican, a man looked upon as a conservative god...this man promised a "secure border" when he actually did give amnesty to millions of illegals. That man...Ronnie Rayguns. So my message to republicans, if your own messiah fucked you on this issue, what do you think this current batch of crooks is going to do?
It was pointed out last night on Levin that the Reagan-granted amnesty did NOT result in extra votes for the GOP from Latinos in subsequent elections. I personally can't wait for the establishment GOP to self destruct. They have lost the ability to win elections, or do what they are elected to do when they do win. They only care about their own damn selves, and the K street jobs awaiting them in payment for their sellout.

As Scat wrote, the dye is pretty much cast at this point. The country is lost. I'd be advising anyone under 40 to make arrangements to live elsewhere. It ain't gonna' be pretty when the haves have been bled dry, taxed into poverty, and the money runs out.
