GOP Leaders on Government Shutdown: It’s a Trap

I did the research why don't you....

there were threats of problems... but they never materialized from what I read
Everyone got their money except for the people Reid and Obama targeted... some lady who owned a business on national park land... Reid and Obama instructed the parks services people to spend more money and put up barriers. .. or something like that.

BENEFIT PAYMENTS

Social Security and Medicare benefits continue to be paid out, but there could be delays in processing new disability applications. The Social Security Administration is also delaying the announcement of the size of next year’s cost-of-living adjustment, which was supposed to come out on Oct. 16. Unemployment benefits are also still going out.

However many times you repeat that doesn't make it true.

Step back through the looking glass and do a little research on what has happened to funding of social services. Not that you will. You prefer your bubble. But ignorance is not bliss. It just makes you act stupid.

From what you read, I'm not surprised that you believe as you do.

Start with food stamps.

Congress passes $8.7 billion food stamp cut

It’s official: 850,000 households across the country are set to lose an average of $90 per month in food stamp benefits.

The Senate on Tuesday voted 68-32 to send the 2014 Farm Bill – which includes an $8.7 billion cut to food stamps – to President Obama’s desk. Nine Democrats opposed the bill, and 46 members of the Democratic caucus voted for it, joining 22 Republicans.

The House passed the law by a similarly commanding margin last Wednesday. After the House vote, White House press secretary Jay Carney made clear that the president would sign off on the legislation.

Nothing to do with sequestration on this passage, though. Maybe it's you who has no idea what he's talking about (again).

lefists don't like the facts so the make them up.
when they are called out... they create amorphus statements.

soon he will post some tiny exception and act like he was correct.

someone's cash got lost in the mail because some defense contractor's truck blocked a postal worker from sorting the mail before 5 pm.

He can "not like" facts all he wants, but there they are.

food stamp benefits were increased as part of the stimulus and were already scheduled to be cut back to what they were before they were raised. had nothing to do with sequestration

at any rate, the world didn't fall apart because of either the shutdown or sequestration like Obama warned us it would

"millions of jobs will be lost" out of one side of his mouth and "Look how many jobs I have created" out of the other

He just can't get it through his head that the government has very little affect on the economy, at least not anything they do in public

Republicans are under a lot of pressure from the Chamber of Commerce, big business financial donors and smaller local companies. All want more immigrants to either work for low wages or have big families and buy lots of stuff.

Plenty of republicans are either not conservative or not ideological at all. Guys like Boehner. They just want to have a spot at the trough. They are not fools. They can see that a massive legalization of illegals would be terrible for the party as it is now, but they figure they can become more liberal and get their share of that vote.

I doubt it. I think Republicans ARE fools on this. Regardless, the DemoCraps are going to get the credit from the Hispanic community.

Just as LBJ's civil rights bills signing was to "... keep niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years...", Odumbo's amnesty and open border will likely result in some infamous quote about "keeping Hispanics voting Democrat forever..." All to the harm of America.

With the blacks and Hispanics comprising about 25% of the populace... if they vote a high majority for DemoCraps, the rest of us don't matter.... well, except to pay for it all of course.

ODUMBO NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! The sooner the better. And "how" is less important than "when".
