GOP Lawmaker Suggests Wolves Could Help Get Rid Of Homeless People

Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) suggested Thursday that the solution to homelessness is wolves.

Young made the comment during a House Natural Resources Committee hearing during an exchange with Interior Secretary Sally Jewell. He was arguing that gray wolves should be taken off the endangered species list, criticizing the National Park Service and his congressional colleagues who seek to protect the animals.

“How many of you have got wolves in your district? None. None. Not one," Young said, calling the gray wolf "a predator."

“We've got 79 congressmen sending you a letter, they haven’t got a damn wolf in their whole district,” Young added. “I’d like to introduce them in your district. If I introduced them in your district, you wouldn’t have a homeless problem anymore.”
The title is incredibly misleading even for a libtard.

Is that from the National Enquirer?

The title is simply a lie. The representative never said that.

I'm beginning to wonder if DB is more trouble than he's worth.

And how exactly do you interpret “I’d like to introduce them in your district. If I introduced them in your district, you wouldn’t have a homeless problem anymore.”

Is he saying that the wolves would frighten the homeless and the homeless would run away?

Or would the homeless make friends with the wolves and sell them and raise enough money to buy homes?

Or would "introducing them" prompt the blue fairy to use her magic wand to make the homeless disappear?

Seriously. You are better than this I thought. He is saying it's easy to take a "principled" position, ie love the wolves, when there is no cost involved for you. If the other reps had to deal with the real world consequences of wolves being around, they might see the issue differently.

To title a thread in a way that claims he advocated using wolves to attack homeless people is reprehensible. You know that and are just trying to upset people. Much more of this and you are headed to the great abyss of Ignore. Don't worry though, several of your acolytes are already there, so you'll have company.

So why did he bring up the homeless at all?
