I don't want a civil war either. I want a government that represents the best interests of the people. They don't! They represent themselves, and a very small group of corporate terrorists hell bent on the dismantling of the working class to the point of slavery...on a global scale.
When you recognize that Palin is no more, or less dangerous than Obama, you'll see it for what it is. Neither are remotely qualified, have zero leadership skills, and are mere puppets for those that call the shots. We have a congress full of O'Donnell's and Angle's. Their names happen to be Reid and Pelosi. Other than the names, there's no difference. All a criminally corrupt, completely incompentent, intent on one thing and one thing only, their politcal careers. It's a good old boys club and they aren't going to give up their memberships voluntarily.

what youre referring to here is not civil war, but a coup d'état. particularly a Guardian coup d'état.

It's utterly ridiculous, as well, in a republic to talk about pols not giving up their places voluntarily. That's the whole point of elections.
I can't believe we have people advocating that we become like Pakistan or Argentina. Nutcases.

I hate to break this to you, but elections and your vote are meaningless. Doesn't matter who gets elected, they're all cut from the same mold. I know you don't want to accept this, but other than having darker skin and a better command of the english language, Obama and Bush are pretty much the same guy, as are they all. It's the power which they won't give up. Should it be their turn to "lose", corporate America is waiting with open arms with final payment for services rendered.

If the discontent in this country is real and long term and not fabricated and manipulated by fringe groups, there will be viable alternatives who are moderate and acceptable by the majority. The U.S. is now in a full tilt financial grid take down thanks to central banks (TRILLIONS gone and debt piling on by the minute to the U.S. taxpayer).

Also, in Lincoln's day he did not have Globalist Wealth Entities factions entangled into all levels of govt agencies (DoD, CIA, FBI, DHS, FEMA, Treasury, Congress, etc, etc , etc). Lincoln also did not have the heinous structure of centralized banking manipulating every economic turn or RUNNING Treasury from down the street (HUGE difference)!

In Lincoln's time the U.S. Citizenry was not "controlled" by a technology grid that is rapidly expanding......CCTV's, electronic financial transactions, electronic records, gun registration, unwarranted wire tapping, TSA full naked body scanners at the airport, position tracking for toll road use, RFID passports, biometric scanning for ID's, over 15 years of blood samples of ALL children born in US for DNA global database, etc, etc, etc.

In Lincoln's time the U.S. Citizenry was not financially compromised by excessive debt instruments, they were not financially entrapped having both ma and pa working 2 to 3 jobs to make ends meet. The citizenry was not eating disgusting foods full of dangerous synthetic compounds, drinking chemically altered local tap water, or addicted to frequently harmful prescription drugs (see all those lawyer ads every day.....sheeeesh!!!!!!!). The citizenry at that time was not distracted with corporatized ipods, porn, or brain dead flicker rate controlled TV (for the timid and docile mind numbed automaton masses).

Things are very very different now for the U.S. Citizenry who are under a "directed" asymmetrical assault on their well being, AND their last grips of control over THEIR government.

We are WAY BEYOND sitting back and waiting for some "acceptable" moderate candidates......WAY BEYOND! :eek:
 
That's just an excuse for laziness. Ron Paul doesn't sit around complaining, and on the other side neither does Russ Feingold. If you think there's no difference between these two, it's not their fault.

He has introduced bills that have helped families by raising the minimum wage. He supports the Family and Medical Leave Act. He is a cosponsor of Protecting America’s Workers Act, which provides increased penalties for willful workplace violations, protects whistleblowers and ensures that employees are given proper protective equipment. He supported expanding the child tax credit to all working families.

Feingold fights against unfair trade deals that hurt Wisconsin and cost us jobs. He introduced the minimum trade standards resolution, which includes standards for worker protections, and imported food safety standards among others. He is an original cosponsor of the TRADE Act which allows the U.S. to review and renegotiate trade agreements.

And let's not forget the McCain–Feingold Act. Lot's of good that did.
You getting my point yet? For all their high minded idealogy, what have they accomplished? Nothing! Is government better, less corrupt, more efficient...? NO it's not. In fact it's more corrupt than ever. The fact that the major players let a couple of guys like Paul and Feingold rant and rave is a distraction from the reality, which is, a couple guys ranting and raving doesn't change a thing, even if those guys are on the inside. It' will take more, much more. The entire system needs to be overhauled and it won't happen peacefully. They won't let it!
