GOP 2012 Budget Will Propose $4 Trillion In Cuts

Quote from Larson:

Correct. Pissing in the wind. They could start with elimination of redundant and unnecessary gov't hack positions and force some of these lifelong gov't teet suckers into the private sector like the rest.

And cut permawars. It costs us over 1 trillion playing in Iraq for example.

This is why we are screwed either way, dems wont reign in entitlements, and republicans wont touch the military budget, so our three biggest expenditures(social security, medicare/medicaid/military) which make up more than half of the budget are off the table in terms of cutting spending.... :(

Quote from achilles28:

Yup. I agree. FOX had a retired CIA-officer doing commentary on the debt problem alongside Peter Schiff and some guy from Columbia. The spook said it was "crazy" to even consider cutting the Defense Budget. A budget, with all it's supplementals, is ~1 Trillion dollars. And this is after Robert Gates admitted the biggest threat to National Security is the deficit. Really unbelievable.

Yea, which is why if Ron Paul doesn't get elected next year, it's done. Might as well short the dollar, pack up, and move overseas. It's gonna get ugly, imo.

We're not so far gone that we would elect a nutcase.

If we withdrew from Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya we would save a few bucks. A good place to start.

We've elected 6, in the last 30 years.

As far as Paul being a "nutcase", he's the only sane option we have. Both the Left and Right have brought America to it's knees, yet you regard them as "credible". Sure, in destroying the Country, they've got loads of credibility.

Quote from Hello:

Why do you consider Ron Paul a nut case?

The stuff he says is too nutty and extreme.

They just seized 2-million in Ron Paul money...yesterday. Gold and silver Liberty Dollars with Sen. Paul's likeness on the front.

Nuttier than my grandmother's fruitcake.
