Google's 4.4 TRILLION dollar energy plan

Quote from Persdawg:

well yeah,,but there are way too many jobs making money in energy to let that happen...............right now anyway.

once we have no control over what we want to do ...then comes the freebies.
p
Thats what I mean. Tens - if not hundreds of trillions of dollars - in latent, untapped oil wealth gone.

Whose gonna let that hapen??

"freebies will never come, not even in your dreams,"

Ever hear of Net Zero? That was free, I still have my grandfather account on some laptop somewhere.

Quote from TT1:

I think its very important to find and develop renewable sources of energy! However, I don't like the idea of the governement subsidizing this to the tune of $180 Billion per year as what was proposed by Google's Eric Schmidt

Its just giving to the few already who have, and taking what little is left from the have nots!

180 billion is nothing compared to the military's budget.

2006 budget= 2650 billion

Think you have misplaced your outrage.

It is obvious that "old-money" would oppose free energy. But the reductionist thinking of direct opposition to free energy attempts is just a puny conspiracy theory.

However - within systems science and reasoning, there is no denying that "old-money" will not be "happy" about free energy, since they enjoy great riches and privileges with it not being around - and therefore being "conservative" as in having interests of this situation not changing.

Now, there is systemic bias and a source for corruption if there ever was one...

Quote from psychonin:

what the fuck difference does it make? as long as we get a renewable source of energy, what the fuck does it matter if someone gets billions?

"drill baby drill".
