GOOG suckers

Think of that leverage. .10c -> 27.00. Buy a few hundred of those and retire -- don't need any of the wear and tear of these mkts. One can dream...

I have a few April 490/500 verticals that I never closed (bought around 3.00), and saw that 500 side hit .10c today. Put my bid in right after to close my short at 500 at .10 (missed it though), and it went back to .60c quickly. Wonder what caused that aberration.

Imagine had I just ponied up the .60c, x2 I would've been $5500 richer.

Lesson: in long verticals, if the short side gets under a buck, don't be cheap if you still sit in front of a big event.

Get over it, the price was there four a short period anyhowd.

Short Google at 540-550 area. Thats the true area of resistance. If it doesnt make it through, then it wont. The ES is down slightly right now and Asia is partially in the red. The good news from Google will only provide temporary relief.

Im betting that the market will use the earnings report as a chance to sell. In May 06, Google gapped up about 50 points on a good earnings release. However, that was a good time to short right after the call... Just my thoughts.

How that FSLR and ford short going? Oh yea you don't actually have any actual positions in anything.

GOOG is going back to 600

I went long at $502 GOOG eight days ago.

I posted the above on 2-14. GOOG is a long term hold for me. Hope I'm right on this. If not, O-U-C-H!!!!!!!!!:(

Karl, how's the system doing?

It's not -too- bad; we're still in the black, down about 20% from the system highs.

It did get rocked a bit during earnings, however the volume of holdings was significantly smaller during the earnings release. I'm still working on fine-tuning the risk-management during events by integrating RSS feeds into the algorithm inputs.

Kind Regards,
