GOOG is going to implode VZ others

Even $20/M UV/UT is TWICE what they pay in Europe, but this is a great start.

Goog bringing 1GB Internet access will eventually implode Comcast and ATT, since once they are in your house with high speed internet, getting you TV and phone is a very small step.

Critical is ala carte TV access. I should be able to order any channel I want, one at a time. Price should be under $100 if I order EVERTHING. I don't want 50 Christian channels in my stream, not even if they pay me.

Google announced they are bringing fiber to my area, almost immediately all of the major companies are offering comparable speeds around here. It's apparent they don't want to let them swoop in and take over. I live too far out to access any of it yet but still get 60mbs

I don't follow why this is a big deal? Ok, I do see one benefit, bringing internet to THE REST OF THE WORLD that can't afford the infrastructure to do land based IA. That __could__ be a game changer for places like Africa and parts of the middle east. And places like China that want to control what people see or don't see. None of those places will be able to control access to the iNet if it is orbit based.

I can see why this could be a game changer from the world's point of view...
