Hey guys!!

Alrighty!! Today, I made $166 and spent $121 making it. Not a bad day, but at least I walked away with a profit.

Our bosses had something special for us today......Believe me gentlemen.......you would have loved to have seen the......"beauty" (heh heh), in fact, both of them, today......

22 buy executions, 18 sell executions, 81,800 shares traded today.

Alright guys,

I have had some pretty bad days before, but today has got to be one of the worst. I have taken 8 or 9 flats so far today. And at least every trade I've been in was for less than 3500 shares and at least 2-4 fills per trade. I've been getting shitty fills all day long. Hopefully it will pick up in the afternoon.

WOW. Today, SUCKED!!! I made $242 and spent $203 making it. I had 37 buy executions and 36 sell executions. I just kept getting these bullshit fills today. At the end of the day I had 14 flats!! FOURTEEN FLATS!!! I would have rather have lost $500 today than taken 14 flats. I feel like I haven't learned anything from this. Flats just mean that you were wrong, period. If I hadn't taken so many of them, I would have save myself about $160 worth of commissions.

My concern is that I seem to be stuck in the same range of profit. It's like I can't make money past a certain amount. I don't think that it is pyschological,......I think that I'm wrong far too often. I lack discipline. Today feels like I took two steps back. This morning I was asking myself, " What the fuck? Haven't I been trading for the past month and a half?" I swear that this morning was a total defeat. Luckily (I mean luckily), this after I was able to cover my trading costs and walk away with a small profit.

Another thing that has been on my mind is that my trading costs have accounted for anywhere between 55%-90% of my gross profit. The commissions are low so I'm not worried about that. It's just that I take way too many flats. I should be taking that percentage in net profit. But I lack discipline, patience, and skill. Dammit!!!

It is good to really consider how efficient a trading strategy is. For instance, if you did a whole lot less trades, took bigger losses but your wins were 2 to 3 times larger then your losses, you would have a lot less to pay in commissions and you might end up with more money. The style you are doing now is very active, it would probably be good if you learned about other styles like intraday trend trading where perhaps you would hold for a larger move or even swing trading. Anyway it is interesting to follow this journal keep it up!
 
Well guys

I have to say that today was my best day gross and net. I made $398 and spent $225 making it. My previous best was $395 gross. Unfortunately, I ended the month net negative by about $5. On November 2 my account was negative $1075.56. After today my account is negative $5 or so. Although this month was progressive, it could have been better.

YES, I got the shittiest fills all day long. It's like a curse...... Either way, I had 54 buy executions and 28 sell executions and I traded 121,600 shares.

I must keep making progress.....

I'm feeling a little tired this morning. I just started working out after a long hiatus. My legs are sore as all hell so I expect to be glued to my chair today. Hopefully I'll be able to loosen up a little later in the day.

So you'd like to talk about defeat? Well, have I got the story for you!

I made $207 and spent $177 making it. Wanna know the screwed up part about it? I was up $280 or so when I suddenly got stupid and decided to short 2000 CPN at 3.70. Well, I covered 1800 of them at .73 and the other 200 shares at .75. Then, while waiting to get those last 200 shares covered, I suddenly got filled on NT at a price that was obviously going against me. So needless to say, I made just enough to cover my costs today.

I had 32 buy executions and 27 sell executions and I traded 117,200 shares.

I'm so pissed off right now.....I can't stay here. I want to break the monitor I'm looking at. I gotta go....
 
Alright guys,

This morning is going well so far. We can no longer route to BSE so our firm has changed its policy towards ECNs. I'll be using arca, inet, and brut quite frequently today.

not a bad day. I had my ups and downs. NT was printing pretty well in the morning but tapered off in the afternoon.

I made $208 and spent about $127 making it. I guess I should be happy with an $80 profit.......

Now that I'm using ECNs, I've noticed that my fills have gotten better.

I had 25 buy executions, 22 sell executions, and I traded 117,000 shares.
