Goodbye to e-mini's

The problem with forums is that you dont see facial expressions and vocal intonations and it often leads to misunderstanding. I didnt read anything sarcastic in BondTraders remarks. I read his remark to mean he considers bonds the ultimate trading vehicle.

try Sierra charts and IB data feed.

Some in the UK use them with no problems.

Thx, I'll look into it.

All,

I have started trading the eurostoxx 2 weeks ago. I find it much better than the es mini and volume is almost the same. I think by the end of the year it will be bigger than the ES. I no longer trade the mini's. Eurostoxx hours are much better for me. No more late nights.

This market trends really well. I use Sierra charts with Mytrack data and I have no complaints.

I agree.. the ESTX50 are smoother during liquid hours. When it rallies it will fly... w/ minimal headfakes allowing for an easier ride.
Beginner traders should definately take a good look at trading this index.

On the ESTX I use a trailing stop 11 pts, that lets you ride out a lot of big moves. It's the equivalent of 2 ES pts. Try trailing the ES by 2 pts: you get whipsawed till you're broke.:D

Questions:

What are the margin requirements for ESTX?

Is esignal a reliable source for quotes?

Can it be traded through IB?

What exactly is the ESTX? Is it the London 50?

What time periods does is trade?

Thanks

Please give me www address for Sierra Charts. Can I view previous day chart using IB as a datafeed? Thanks
eSignal is too expensive for me, because all I need is real time candlestick chart.

Ditch, why CQG not myTrack? CQG is so expensive...

My Track doesn't offer tick-charts, that's the only reason I choose CQG, otherwise I would stick to e-signal, which I now use toghether with Ensign.

I use e-signal, but they don't have correct tick-data on the ESTX50, so I will probably be switching to CQG. Yes, contracts expire each months, but right now the big volume is in the dec. contract. Market hours in CET are 9.00-17-30.
What do you mean by incorrect tick-data?
That phenomen detailed in another thread (constant tickvolume charts not being drawn correctly) or something else? Thanks.
