the new york times used illegally obtained material in the pentagon papers case. but their source did the dirty deed, not the times and it was not determined that the times took steps to cause said material to be illegally obtained, only that it procured copies afterwards.

thus, your assertions that using stolen property- ie stone via wiki leaks if proven true- is not in and of itself a crime. you have to determine that he was causative and conspiratorial in the original crime to procure.

WikiLeaks was not acting as a news source in their actions with the emails. They were acting as an agent of we can surmise Russia. Making WikiLeaks an unregistered foreign agent defrauding the American people through illegal election activities. Look, in truth, I’ve avoided this topic because those kids are minors and I don’t think this should be national news. They ran into an ugly situation and their ugly values clashed with the real world.

I hope they’ve learned the world is full of haters and their harassment of people walking down the sidewalk or next to them is not acceptable either.

Like I said, I blame the school and chaperones. Besides that, they are kids who should have never been made public.

I wholeheartedly wish them well and hope they grow into good citizens.

Lol. The pentagon papers and Podestas emails are two completely different forms of property and WikiLeaks and the NYTs are completely different organizations with completely different legal protections.
