Appreciate it. Was thinking either dell or sony. any thoughts on the dell 6000?
Hello,
You may not want to wait this long, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-B100B acquired for free by doing an online promo, just over a year ago. Intel Pentium M 1.5, 504 MG of RAM, 60 GB HDD, DVD, and XP Pro.Took about several hours of time, and cost me $12.00. Once verification was done for the conditions and the voucher submitted, was about 8-10 weeks. Shipping was even free. It's a sweet little computer, and I have a 19" flat panel I hook to it and trade from it exclusively for now.
It is wireless also, so I got a router and use it around the house for trading and surfing @ times. At the time I believe the retail value was $999.00, I'm sure you could do better now. Of course there is the gift tax to pay, but still well worth the money to me, so I got it for a 1/4 of the cost. Yes, it was brand new in the box, it was however the prior years model. Still a major savings and massive improvement over my old Compaq Presario bought for $1300.00 in 2000 or 2001.
Good luck with your decision, and consider doing a promo someday for a backup or whatever else you could use one for.
Take Care and Good Trading!
Kelly
