Good job tyrants! EPA banning wood-burning stoves

Houses with thicker walls and more insulation would help on heating fuel usage and reduce pollution.

This is one stupid culture. Houses in the Mojave Desert are all built with central air. They could be built with thicker walls for more insulation, shades over them and evaporative coolers and use very little energy. They can be built to be even more efficient than that with air passages in a thick slab but it would require changes to the building codes to force it. It will never happen, the legislature is a mindless wholesale whorehouse, practical ideas never get out of committee...
 
Did those of you with wood-burning stoves know that you'll have to remove it if you sell your home?? Did you know 80% of today's wood-burning stoves are affected by the EPA Gestapo? I live in a semi-tropical environment, and don't 'need' a wood-burning stove, but millions upon millions of Americans DO use them to heat their homes, and NO ONE has ANY business telling them they cant!! Who the fuck is this government to pull this kind of nazi horse shit?!?!?!????? What the mortal fuck??!??!???:mad::mad::mad:

According to the U.S. Census Bureau the number of persons per household is 2.61 - this means the number of people who use wood as the primary source for heating in their homes is 6.26 million. The number of people supplementing their homes with wood heating is 26.1 Million.

Yes, this EPA decision has a significant impact to a large number of Americans without any reasonable study of the negative economic impact.

Well, mr high iq wheelbarrow believed that I "pulled the figures out of my ass." He's not quite what I would call mr reading comprehension, but look at his life. Pretty much says it all...

Anyhow, for your post, yes, millions upon millions heat their homes with wood, and YES, this WILL affect them. My Dad died rather recently/suddenly, and the only source he used to heat his log home was 3-4' logs which he timbered on the 100+ acres he had. Yes, he re-planted so many trees it's unreal. But hey, he was retired, and liked doing that kind of stuff. As for the rest, I can imagine they'll be impacted. They'll probably have to resort to those evil fossil fuels if they can't burn wood, which we've done since the beginning of time... Those fascists are some evil sons of bitches, and certainly aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer considering the impact this 'could' have by banning 80% of the wood-burning stoves/inserts/etc.,

My in-laws who are retired and live in Person County, North Carolina use wood to heat their home. Many of their neighbors use wood to heat their homes. Person County suffers from a lot of poverty - for many families, if they did not heat with wood they would not be able to afford heat.
