good international brokerage firms?

Hi i am an american who resdies in korea. Im looking for a good international brokerage firm that allows short selling, low commission, and a small deposit amount as my current broker does not fit into any of these categories

Have you tried Merrill Lynch? They have ranked top 5 in Asia for decades.

I would go with E trader although I'm not sure about the Asia part.

merill lynch is pretty expensive and wow etrader is really expensive. Plus im not sure if merrill lynch has a trading platform that i can use like etrade and i think thier min. deposit is through the roof.

they do but theyre min deposit is pretty expensive. heard that they were actually really good though

I would investigate Etrade like Scalperten said.

At least, your depositing into a US institution avoiding potential headaches.

Tell me if you ever open up an account with a firm named after a car.

Yep, they need to get with the times.

On second thought, international stock brokers probably have limited access, start calling local Korean brokers with car names. Tell us what happens.

What's the min deposit on interactive brokers? I've heard nothing but good from them.
