A: Let's intimidate these people we don't like with our guns (The Rittenhouse LARPing move).
or
B: Let's use these guns on people we don't like (El Paso, Pittsburgh synagogue, Charleston).

Since A has failed spectacularly because no one fears LARPers (as witnessed in Kenosha), then B is the logical conclusion. How else do you read "we need our guns to stop them?"
