Goldman's "conviction" buy list

Not a typo. Goldman has had conviction buy and sell lists (including regional ones, outside the US) for a long time. They "represent investment recommendations focused on either the size of the potential return or the likelihood of the realization of the return."
 
So it's essentially a list of all the positions they already have in the attempt to drum up more support for their positions.

Why don't they just call these things the "We're buying them, so you should too" lists.
