But US cars are hecho en mexico and canada. More jobs for Mexicans and Canadians.

Good book.

"Liar's Poker" also has good descriptions of uneducated local bankers being sold complicated derivatives. The Wall Street sellers referred to this as "getting your face ripped off" because the prices allowed millions in instant profits!

The risk was easily hedged off to the listed markets.
