Goldman Earnings Out Early

Quote from S2007S:

WHY is GS dropping all of the sudden, Im getting worried, I just bought 1000000000 shares at $130 hoping to see 200+ by tomorrow. I mean no great financial company can fail with the backing of the fed and government, RIGHT?????

HAHA

It's because they are having another offering so the shares will be diluted. It's all in the release.

Once GS gets their money at artificaially propped up valuations, prepare yourself for the sucking sound of one last financial ass rape by the bankers so they can pay themselves whatever they want during the depression and everyone buying at these levels gets screwed!

I wonder how much of the trading profits in recent quarters was from shorting financials?

I am becoming such a conspiracy theorist. Man I wish I hadnt fucked up my GS superday 18 months ago..

Quote from S2007S:

I told you months ago I do NOT trade for a living. If you dont like my opinions about the economy and markets disregard them and move on.
So what do you do for a living? Seriously, I've been wondering.

you do realize that the name of this site is "Elite Trader" and this specific thread was started in the "Trading" subsection...(?)

Uncle Sam tells these banks to STFU about their toxic crap rescue. So Uncle Sam now tells these same banks to lie through their teeth about the earnings because he has them covered.

That makes a perfect sense to me. What about you?

Quote from Martinghoul:

It may have something to do with the Dec08 loss per share of $2.15 that, due to the transition in their reporting calendar (from an IB to a bank holding co), sorta fell through the cracks.

Bingo, you hit nail on the head. I wonder if the sheep out there will actually realize that the numbers have been manipulated...
