Gold, Silver and Miners journal

I expect further sell-off in the metals and also will be looking to possibly get long the S&P here for a short scalp, maybe a day or two.

Edit: Actually still not sure on the metals, looking at them it's def possible we rally out of the lows.
 
A sustained rally that lifts gdx above it's close yesterday would be very interesting.

Still not doing anything and very surprised by the spx weakness. I thought for sure we would get a 10 pt. ish rally today.

Out at 1696.75. Don't want to hold this too long as to me I am fighting the slowing momentum on the higher time frames. Probably could have taken profits a little sooner and made a tick or two more but wanted to give it a chance to be a big winner.
 
Not sure what is going on but I'm liking the pop in the metals here on what appears to be slowing momentum on the daily chart.

Long 5 SLV Nov. $21 @1.06

Will be adding if I see more strength.

Edit: Also, obviously should have stuck with my ES long a little longer.
 
Short the Dec. DX @80.525. Looking for a continued breakdown here. Stop is @ the 80.70 level. Will probably be in this for around a day or two.

Bought it back at 80.45.

Honestly was just expecting way more out of both the ES and the DX. Both entries were well timed but the market just didn't really give me the move I wanted out of either one.
