Gold option trades

Hi. I just joined. Is it possible to sell 1 month put options at say 1900 in Gold? What premium would I receive and what margin is needed. Can you tell me who trades this? Thanks. David

CME has options on gold:

The underlying for each option contract is 100 ounces of gold.

Not all brokers provide access to these products. You may need an account that is approved for futures trading.

You can trade options on GLD, which is an ETF that provides ownership of gold bullion. The fund actually owns gold--not stocks. The price of the ETF tracks the price of one tenth of an ounce of gold, and the option contract is for 100 shares of the ETF. So each option controls ten ounces of gold, indirectly, through the shares of the ETF.
