Gold is such a pathetic hedge(or a non-hedge even)

Yea, so what is the point of that?

Record purchases the two previous years and price went .... up. Not 20 years ago. Last year and the one before.

There's a history of central bankers not being good traders. Central bankers will look upon their recent sales as stupid years later.

In times of crisis, investors / fund managers ... hedge using gold.

Also In times of crisis, investors / fund managers ... hedge using USD.

Result? gold/USD chart becomes very chaotic.

So? Simply do day trading.

Gold is very unpredictable now :/
It's heating up now. NEM is also looking to break out of a 15 year base. It should be a face ripper.

Gold's performance this week - I may have to rename my handle. I'm also dumping my copper. It was a good run, but things are lining up for gold and silver to be the front running commodity right now. By a country mile. Lets see if this breakout holds. The setup is there. Defensive assets are getting a bid.

Oh Baby! Gold has has finally broken away from bonds over the last couple of days. My guess is the 10 year starts to tank and takes equities with it.
