Gold is going to break record highs today

this is about the place where i would expect a cartel smackdown to come in and shake out the weaker longs. i wont be among the ones shook out
 
I've harped on gold and metal stocks for a long time. Although they have gone up a lot, (check MCP since i posted about rare earths) there is no guarantee they will continue one way or another. Although the Fed and gov't have a strict anti-deflation policy, which keeps metal prices heading up, there is no guarantee there won't be a policy change later this year.

One factor working in the favor of non precious metals and rare earths is they are used to make weapons, which seems to be a booming business.
