Gold Buffalos vs. Gold American Eagles

Quote from TraderZones:

Yes, but not hard to remove the coin and substitute a heavy-clad fake. And with certification, no less!

For $1,000+, there are plenty of clever people who will think up ways to cheat the system. That is a year's wage in some countries. And since most people are unsophisticated, I can imagine that it is not so hard for some to do.

Actually it is hard. You obviously have little understanding of how coins are minted and why mint marks are recognized as a seal of approval. Let alone the process of assaying, which even tungsten cannot pass.

If replicating & faking minted coins had any reasonable degree of feasibility, the perpetrators would not be dealing with Eagles, Maples, Krugenrands, etc. They would be focused on rare coins that have values from 4 to 6 figures.

It is obvious you have a vested interest in www.bullionvault.com, which I personally see as very risky. Ease up on the spamming their website and also stop trying to pretend you know much about gold/silver bullion & coins.

I have one of these Gold 1 oz Proof Buffs coming for Xmas. I can post pictures and give experience(weight, look etc) at the end of next month given the current interest of this thread at that time...
