They are well within their rights to protest. They are paid to play football. If unable to separate the two I guess I'll find more constructive things to do with my time other than watch sports. No doubt they'll go on without me and I damn sure will survive without them. Simple as that. No muss, no fuss.

Living in an area of the country (N.C.) where many of my neighbors are military veterans who have been deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places -- disrespecting our country and those who have served it by not standing for our national anthem is simply a non-starter. If the NFL does not want to show basic respect then I don't need to tune into the NFL.
The protesters have said over and over again they are not protesting veterans.Of course you have the right to not watch The NFL.
When you refuse to stand for the national anthem then veterans are going to take offense. There's no parsing of words about the matter.
Racism in this country is as important to some as a song is to some veterans.The protesters have said they are not protesting veterans.If they don't accept that so be it.
I guess some people will take kneeling as unwilling to participate. I just see at as willing and in addition observing this other cause. It used to be that kneeling was a sign of reverence, not disrespect. But maybe when it's a black guy, it's disrespect.
This is the beginning of the NFL not being relevant in America. They are about to lose a core set of fans.
