Going through personal crisis & trading

Quote from GG1972:

If taking time off isn't feasible then I d suggest reduce your size and continue trading reduced size until the problem becomes second nature to you and it stops affecting your trades. Then start building yours size too and its should take care of itself.

That's what I did ( personal problems big time)

Main thing is longer you stay in the game stronger you become.
gg makes some good pointd here, the world is not going to stop spinning so you can too,it's smart to reduce your size while you continue to cope with variable stress ratios, mentally a good adage is,sometimes it's just your turn, happens to everybody, time and again, just how it is,,roll with the punches,no problems ,only solutions,. You'll solve this one and a new one will come along,so what, thats just how it is and will be ,just deal with it and move on

Has anyone here gone through a major crisis and yet continued to trade through it? How was your performance?

I've been going through one myself in the past 2 weeks and I don't see any end in sight and it's really affected my trading. I'm in full defensive mode now when I trade. I'm thinking about taking a week or two off but my problems won't be going away anyways so I don't see the point.

I not trade until this problem is resolved because I don't know if it'll be resolved.
You know yourself better than anyone (at least you should); ask yourself: Would this personal crisis hinder my trading?

Personally, I can abstract completely from non-trading problems when trading/analysing the markets.
But I don't trade that often.
