Going full time

I have written about this many times. I have decided (unless I change my mind) that March 15 is the date. I will quit the sales full time sales job and go full time with trading. I do have a side business where I sell Surf gear that brings in enough to cover my expenses and I will keep doing that.

Am I scarred? I sure am... am I excited,,, I sure am. Lot's of conflicting thoughts. I have decided I do not care what anyone thinks of this. I have been working on it for 8 years.
I feel that to cut the safety cord/leash of the full time job has to happen for me.
 
Why not Do Both till then, and beyond. HG in the AM.

Can I ask how big your depot size is? So will you be happy with 40 % profit/year or rather 400 %? ;)

Just curious.

FYI, I am retired, I receive a couple of pensions, and I have
a comfortable income without doing day trades. If I am
profitable it's fantastic, if I lose money, I can afford it.

Years ago, I quit my job to work on my side hustle full time
so I know exactly how you are feeling.

how I am feeling??? can barely describe.. the thing is that I have gone all in on self employment situations many times over the last 20 years. So why do I have all the crazy thoughts on trading? I just know like only I can know that it is the right thing for me.
 
So you are changing to FT trading, because you hate your job, and are very excited and very nervous. Sounds like a fair amount of emotion around the decision.

It does not doom you, of course, but it sub optimal for starting trading FT. FWIW, if trading where more like your Surf equipment side business, well known, track record, a bit of a grind albeit enjoyable, and positive cash flow that would be better. Better to escalate from PT to FT.

Trading is hardly ever the "solution", though it is often touted as the "ultimate solution". Best to assume it is just another job.
