True.
If a group of people are stranded in a desert and people are trying to figure out where water is, if someone comes up to the group and says, "I've found water," you'd think people would be interested in finding out if the claim is true.

I feel the same with the Bible. People say they are searching for God. Many of the writers of the Bible claim that God told them what to say. I know that God has intervened in my life to make Himself known to me through the Bible and Divine Interventions in my life. Yet, when we try to tell others, many don't even search it out to see if it is true.

How many reading these E. T threads have really taken the time to ponder the significance of prophecy fulfilled?
Signs and wonders were performed for a reason. Then stopped for a reason.

IMO, the prophecies fulfill the role originally fulfilled by signs and wonders.

IMO, it can't be obvious and provable to man that God exists. Doubt is a feature. That doubt can only be overcome via the real desire to know God; to know why we might exist in the first place, etc.

IMO, there's even more to it as it relates to the "Sons of God" and how God was able to "know" humans before they were even born.

But the thing is, we're not searching, other than scaredee cats who look under the bed every night.
You guys like most Americans, live in a world of fear, need a hundred guns per household, gotta have a perpetual enemy, stream off to church every Sunday and talk shit. :)

Oh boy, that really hurt me! :)

Yep. I believe that too.

When you say it's not provable to man that God exists, are you talking in the sense of people in general or individually? Because I believe God can be known and with absolute certainty.

I'm lost. What does this mean?

Generally ... of course, I can't speak individually. God can always make himself 'proven' to whomever he will. :)

I'm lost. What does this mean?

For example:
Jer. 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

This and other verses imply that the human soul existed before conception. I have a theory about these souls having great involvement in the war and fall of Satan and other angles.
