No, Stu, I never said that. I said I have a relationship with God.
I do agree with you, when you wrote:

Imaginary friends don't interact with you. God does interact with His own. Imaginary friends don't give you promises and then keep them. God has written many promises to His followers and He is faithful to keep them. Imaginary friends don't orchestrate circumstances to reveal to you that they are caring about you and have control over every situation and are listening whenever you talk to them. God does intervene in life's circumstances to make the believer aware that He is listening to them, taking care of them, in control during difficulties, and loves them.
An imaginary friend would be limited to the imaginations of one's mind. God is outside of one's mind and reveals Himself to the believer. Something you and those who have never come into a relationship with God have never experienced.
And guess what....I am not alone in my observations of God's presence involved in my life. Many can also testify to similar experiences.
What you think seems creepy is actually the most wonderful thing that can ever happen to a person.
[Jesus said] "The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him." John 14:21
[Jesus said] “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." John 14:15-17
