Just a suggestion. If the translation you used to read the Bible was KJV, it might have taken more than programming skills to understand some things. Although "whosoever believeth in him should not perish" is still clear.

This verse is not as clear:

I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

This translation is a little more understandable, but it still took me a moment to figure out what I think is what he meant:

I face death every day—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In 18, "will" is used as a verb which means the future. "helper" means something to help.
In 19, God creates the help mentioned in 18 -- animals.
So, 18 happened before 19.

I should have checked more translations of Genesis 2:19 when trying to show the the error of the first listed "contradiction" posted earlier because the NIV places the word "had" before "formed." This makes it easier to understand that the action of creating the animals had already taken place.

I don't know much about Hebrew, but I think I remember hearing that they don't have the same time elements in their sentence structures that English has. If this is correct, then different translations may differ from each other on the same verse at times. Using a Strongs concordance or doing further research on a difficult passage could clear up difficulties. I haven't looked into it for this passage. I'm just satisfied that there is a "had" inserted before formed, which is how I read it in my mind before seeing it in the NIV.

15The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”​

19Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky.
