What many don't realize is that "The Bible" is a collection of scriptures assembled by man. Scriptures that were written during different timeframes.
Some legitimate questions are, (and correct me if I'm wrong):
Are
all of the scriptures included in The Bible, the inspired words of God, or sanctioned by God?
Are there inspired or sanctioned scriptures
outside of The Bible collection we currently use?
Many also don't realize, imo, that the original scriptures were not written in English, and plenty of errors in translation exist in the translated Bibles of today. Some of these man-made errors result in contradictions/confusion in interpretation.
Many also don't realize that it was a different culture when the scriptures were written. The words they used then, are different that what we use today. Land masses, countries, empires, and rivers may have had different names.
Armchair pundits rarely exercise due diligence before jumping to conclusions. This is
especially so of the atheist/agnostic, when it comes to religion.
For me, I looked around and said,
"No, this was not the result of random chance, from building blocks with built in 'programming,' which just 'banged' into existence, from nothing. It's too beautiful. It fits together too well. It's too complicated. A creator exists."
I then said,
"I suspect a creator would leave us a message."
I then said,
"There are a multitude of religions, 'bibles,' etc. Which to choose?"
Only one Bible set forth prophecies that were later fulfilled; including some historical accounts that were corroborated by modern science.
I still recall studying the prophecy that Jewish people would be scattered about the world; and their eventually return to, and nationalizing of their homeland.
The risk/reward associated with being a believer is unbeatable.
