My point is that there also is no reason to blindly follow a path dictated by what other HUMANS have recorded. Again, it is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of god, but to threaten punishment for those who are uncertain or don't believe is downright silly.

Unless you know they are wrong, how can it be silly?

Chief, the word "silly" was referring to the self righteous behaviour of both sides, not their belief systems. This has now become a matter of semantics or what? The second "silly" was referring to the simplistic notion of punishment with a sentence in hell for something that can't be proven.

Where did I say I'm sitting in judgement?
All I said is that there is no evidence for OR against the existence of a god. However, there are people who believe fervently in a god and there are people who fervently do not believe in a god. Both sides have their reasons. However these reasons have no supporting evidence (which you seem to agree with, although I can't be sure, lol), yet the two sides insist (this is what is silly) that they are right!
