God and Science

Quote from OPTIONAL777:

If you were blind and someone said they saw a pink unicorn, what would constitute proof?

What other people say?

What if everyone said they saw a pink unicorn, that would be proof?

Good gravy, another idiot is loose...

Pretty much "Everyone" DOES say that God exists: I don't buy it. As I've said before, everything I see in nature/life/whatever points to a completely random, non-designed universe. That's my take on it; you can use whatever gets you thru your life. I've read other posts by you so I know you're not an idiot: would expect the same assumption from you regarding me.

Interesting point about 'blind people' though. Never considered what they use to filter bullshit from reality.

Quote from RangeBar:

Dude, you keep accusing me of 'anger'. Nothing could be further from the truth. Now you accuse me of being 'frustrated': I'm way beyond frustration.

I cannot be angry at something that does not exist. My life has been about as perfect and great as 99.99999% of the people that have existed on earth. If we count non-human life, well then, there aren't enough decimal positions on this screen to record the percentage.

Do I get 'frustrated' that our leaders, news anchors, educators, and et al keep thanking/referencing a non-existent being for whatever goes right (or wrong) in our lives: Yes. But it is a very small frustration.

At this point I simply smile and shake my head. My only regret is that the rational beings will not be able to tell you; "I told you so", when all of this is said and done.

I gave you the benefit of a doubt , either you are angry about something or apt to make idiotic statements.

Since you disavowed anger twice, idiotic it is.

Your concept of "Pretty much "Everyone" DOES say that God exists" exposes that nearly everyone who can think and observe the statistics of this earth when it comes to belief in God, would see that your mind is either severely loaded with drugs, or unloaded of the ability to generate coherent arguments...

Godless commies ring any bells?

Too funny...

The very idea that you believe that 'godless commies' was ever a widely accepted belief shows me exactly how shallow your critical thinking skills really are. Less than 10% of the worlds population is atheist which is as high as its ever been. Thank Science, it's the fastest growing belief system.

Let me clue you in on a fact: a true Communist (and you don't have to scratch me too deep to find one) is about as rare, no, even MORE rare than an 'atheist'. (Oh yeah, as a Communist and an Atheist, I promise I support individual freedom as much or greater than any poster on ET.)

So now Pretty much "Everyone" DOES say that God exists has morphed into "less than 10%."

What !?!? 90% of the people on the planet believes in one superstition or another. Where did I say it was 'less than 10%'? I said that Atheist comprise 10%. If you can't read English this then discussion is even more pointless than it already was.

Don't call me a 'Liar', Piker. Challenge my ideas or STFU. I've never assaulted your intentions.

You went from this:

Pretty much "Everyone" DOES say that God exists..

To this:

"Less than 10% of the worlds population is atheist which is as high as its ever been."

My oh my, such short term memory loss you display...

In my experience, '90% of the people' agreeing on ANYTHING encompasses 'pretty much Everyone' but I can go with some other phrase if you prefer. How about I say; "a whole lot of people" ? Does 90% equal "a whole lot of people" ?

In essence, 90% believe in one superstition or another and 10% believe in nothing superstitious.

Guys like you crack me up...

So loose with the material facts, but demanding proof of God...
