So firms trying to do something and not ignoring the obvious changes in climate should be ostracized by not promoting the very industries at the heart of the problem?
No, firms playing politics and making fortunes of the climate scam (the only "obvious" part) shouldn't be able to force ESG down the throats of other companies or consumers.
Texas (and Florida) are at the forefront of Right-wing wokeness cancel culture and Republican/Chinese communist party style totalitarian control of markets. Interesting how Republicans are all about free markets until they are not (and yes, ESG is just a free market innovation). People "vote" with their pocket books.

So when the banks cut off fossil fuel companies and refuse to do business with them, it's worthy, timely and necessary according to the left. When states do the same to the banks it's their new buzz phrase - "a threat to our democracy".
Yet liberals continue to use fossil fuels and oil based products every hour of every day, throw tantrums and try to call out the National Guard when a few illegals are shipped into their sanctuary cities - meanwhile we are paying for a new giant wall around one of Biden's Delaware houses. Everything is about SOMEONE ELSE doing what they are virtue signaling, not them.
