GME up over 100%.... what is going on now?

Oh.
Ok.
I have no idea then.

But the term "forced over" sure seems like that's what I spoke of.

Who remembers this one?

Wasn't that the shaving cream with menthol in it? And if you nicked yourself it burned like a mutha'? I prefer plain ol' Barbasol.

Hey @destriero , to hear it in your own words, what exactly is a "forced cover" on short sales in stocks, and why/how is the mechanism it can occur? I am wondering if Salty can face that situation before he reaches the burn-out price of $2000 per share or whatever he said the death price is.

A forced cover is a margin call. There are ways to calc a measured-move from the high volume bar when it's obvious where a lot of these fools got short. Or simply look for the reversal above the high volume bar.

No fucking way this idiot can wait out $2,000. He hasn't made $700K lifetime. He's probably DOA at $400.

great hardware dest I've got gun envy lol.... hey curious what's the appeal for some re ARs? Never liked them cuz they feel too light.... re pistols my sig226 9mm is great, glock22 40cal is ok

Re gme it's risky either direction; for swings if I had to bet I'd think we'll see 70 before 350 , yes it's overvalued but too unpredictable/risky for my taste

I have a 3.75lb AR. A V-Seven 2055 lithium aluminum 300 blackout SBR. This exact model: https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/v-seven-6-5-7075-enlightened-300blkout-pistol/

Ounces = pounds. I carry them backcountry backpacking. 4lb AR vs. an 8lb AK. Takes optics, simple construction, 7075 aluminum is amazing material (mil-spec)... the BCGs were a pain to clean but the advances in material science made them a breeze to clean. Most of my ARs are MOA or better.

K, thanks. The reason it did not compute in my head is because shorting stocks is a foreign concept to me. Shorting or longing a future outright, you can get a margin call either way.

Longing a stock, you can never get a margin call unless you buy a single stock future and it tanks before expiry past yer margin limit. But outright shorting a stock? Yeah, I can see how that might happen now. (And then what happens if you are short a stock and it pays a dividend...Aren't you responsible for paying that dividend to the stock owner?) Shorting stocks is just bad. Why short a company you do not believe in, when you can just buy a company you DO believe in? Heh

Thx, makes sense if your backpacking to keep it light.... the V7 looks great. I always have a hard time shooting lighter weight weapons because harder to keep steady, but if you're good shot with a well balanced weapon I guess it doesn't matter. I used to have a Charter Arms bulldog 44 and it was lightweight but difficult to get a tight shot group. Good stuff

And now he's doing reverse mortgages, or Medicaire. One of those.
No idea what Farah's up to these days.

She should call the My Pillow guy.
Farah's been in the ground for years.

Cool. I have a bunch of Geissele REBCGs and other slick carriers. My go to is a suppressed KAC 11.5" SR-15 with a titanium adjustable carrier with the E-3 bolt. I have the gas adjusted so it just cycles Mk262 with the SF SOCOM Mini on it. Shoots as flat as rimfire.

The SR-15 is a beautiful rifle as well and very loyal.
