They exercised because they are too stupid to look at the fwd/synthetic. They were pricing their options off the shares.

Yeah... You can tell someone they're stupid, or you can let them, realize it. If you just tell them, they will get defensive and not learn. Losing money is a great way to learn, but it doesn't work when people don't realize they left money on the table.
