GM - what are the chances of bankruptcy?

I had a bad experience with a new 1998 750il. Frame was out of wack ever so slightly. Just enough to require the passenger door to be restruck so that it would close properly. Also the wipers would skip across the windshield. They could never get those to work. Also the airbag light would stay on. They could never get it to stay off longer then the next time i drove the car. It would come on when I set in the drivers seat.
No more BMW.

Amazing how the BMW's all have the same problems. I had problems with air bag light and a few other lights on the dash popping up. I would have to disconnect the battery to reset the air bag light but it would only work for a week or 2. I also had windshield problems with air noise, somehow those windshields were never fit properly to the car, could be the frame problem you talk about. But those were just the minor problems I had. I had major engine problems also. For example the cooling system on BMW is all plastic and I kept getting busted plastic parts like the common catastrophic neck failure that would leave me stranded and at the same time their temperature guages do not mark properly resulting in overheating the engine more than should have warping the aluminum heads and aluminum block. I also had to replace the water pump, the plastic heater core, the reservoir. Obviously these things all busted one at a time leaving me stranded too many times. The biggest problem is the oil pump that also is plastic and it spits out plastic pieces in the oil sump but you never know until it's too late, also the bolts on the oil pump keep getting loose. The result of these plastic parts in the oil sump ended up starving the engine of oil resulting in a chronic internal engine knock. The fix= a engine rebuild at $12,000.
I now have a 2000 Bonneville with a metal radiator and cast iron engine. I put 133,000 careless troublefree miles on it and it still drives like a new Cadillac solid and smooth, and I never looked back.

BMWs are beautifully engineered and a very reliable car.
I've seen lots of BMW taxis in Eastern Europe with 250-300K on them.
No sane person would willingly go back from a BMW to a GM/Ford clunker.
It takes a cast iron brain to compare a 2000 Bonneville to a BMW.
Please give us a 10 page executive summary of your health. How's you sex life?
GM will burn through all it's assets... and then go bankrupt... shedding all it's union obligations and workers.
After current equity gets $0.01 on the dollar... new stock will be issued and will be a hot IPO like K-Mart.
It's all about financial enginering right now.

Buddy, it's not just me, take a look at the BMW message board and see every other owner complaining. I have not been to this website for many years but all the same problems keep popping up there.
