I bought a 17 today. My first Glock. Don't know why I resisted so long. It is indeed a beauty. I was very pleased with the construction when I disassembled it. Now I have 18 pistolas.
Most of them I rarely shoot and wouldn't or couldn't carry. Like a 22 magnum mini-revolver. Or a 357 magnum eight-inch barrel revolver. Or other guns nearly as old as I am. I still have my first gun I got at twelve, a single shot 22, a dandy little tool for popping rats with subsonics. Whenever I have a lsoing day I pick one at random and go to the range. I love to see the hordes of people there taking their CHL courses and practicing to qualify. They are making Texas increasingly an unfriendly place for criminals.

This say's something about our society, and that something is ugly. Sales of a specific weapon go up right after that weapon is used in a mass killing. Kinda' sick if you ask me. Lot's of pretenders and wanna' be tough guys out there think a gun makes them a man.
Yup! Happunt after Ft. Hood with the FN Five-Seven. But IMO one isn't necessarily a macho wannabee to like guns. Simple paranoia suffices.
You're such an idiot. There were more murders in NYC during the late 1800's than in the "wild west". Gun fights, such as those depicted in movies, in the real west were actually quiet rare. Partly due to lower more spread out populations and partly due to the fact that many were openly armed. You gonna attempt to rob or run your mouth to guy with a pistol in his belt?
