CBOT is ok. Is it feasible to use YM to hedge some ES positions?

Yes, definitely. Or SPY's or SPX options.

Fortunately the market seems to be in duller than usual midday doldrums -- nothing's moving much. But if Globex isn't up by the end of the day, you might want to hedge going into the final hour, especially if it looks like you'll get stuck holding a daytrade position overnight.

every point in the ES = .10 in the SPY
