Global warming research suppressed due to intolerance of scepticism

Which is why there is no need for prudence or any kind of behavior change. In fact, there's so much uncertainty that even studying the issue is a waste of money!
I don't agree, and you don't either. There may be some point in not throwing a lot of money at a problem that hasn't been determined to be a problem yet, but regardless, prudence is always in order. It makes good sense to continue studying climate change. We may at least learn our limitations with regard to predicting climate.

Perhaps it is helpful to recognize that most peer reviewed papers published in the field of climate science, or closely allied fields such as atmosphere physics, don't take any position at all with regard to whether humans are causing significant warming of the atmosphere. It is misleading to suggest that since only one author among 9,136 stated that humans were not responsible for observed warming that the other 9,135 authors necessarily stated that they were responsible. The vast majority of these papers stick to presenting data and analysing it without taking any direct position on anthropomorphic CO2-caused warming.

The issue is so complex that that nearly all the authors of these papers have avoided taking a direct position in their peer reviewed journal articles with regard to the importance of human CO2 emissions. Of course, one must allow for the possibility of a significant contribution from man, unless one can rule it out. But this is a far cry from making a direct statement to the effect that man is causing significant warming of the atmosphere due to CO2 emissions. We are a long ways off from any definitive conclusion in that regard!

There certainly IS a definitive conclusion. Man made greenhouse gasses are warming the atmosphere. There is no question about it anymore. The debate is over. It is a fact. Climatologists consider it as true as biologists consider evolution to be true.

Facts are not subject to your opinion.

And it IS 97%. When directly asked about it, 97% say that man has caused most of the warming over the last century.

Because CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Know what that is?

You keep confusing your ignorance with what science actually says. We DO know it's a problem and that AGW is a fact. Your saying otherwise does not change that. Facts are not determined by your ignorant opinion.

We can pay a little now or much more later.

RAPID ICE LOSS
Glaciers in west Canada melting fast

"VANCOUVER -- The mountains of British Columbia that cradle glaciers in west Canada are in rapid retreat, which has become a major climate change issue, local news agency said Sunday, citing an American state-of-the union report on climate change.

"Most glaciers in Alaska and British Columbia are shrinking substantially," The Canadian Press quoted the US National Climate Assessment as saying.

"Glaciers in British Colombia and America's northern state of Alaska are losing 20 to 30 percent of what is melting annually from the Greenland Ice Sheet, the report said, adding that it amounts to about 40 to 70 gigatons per year, or about 10 percent of the annual discharge of the Mississippi River.

"The global decline in glacial and ice-sheet volume is predicted to be one of the largest contributors to global sea-level rise during this century," the report said.

"Brian Menounos, a geography professor at the University of Northern British Columbia and one of the scientists involved in cross-border, multi-agency research into glacial loss, said he was concerned about the melting speed of the glaciers.

"We've seen an acceleration of the melt from the glaciers," he said, adding, "When we start to look at some of these individual mountain ranges, we're seeing some rates that are truly exceptional."

"There are 200,000 glaciers on Earth, 17,000 of them in British Columbia, according to the report. "

What's with you and boys in pajamas?

You are projecting again. Why do you reflexively think of boys in pajamas? I hope you are not another ZZZ / Opt777.

And, my 97% figure regarding your posting history is much more accurate than the bogus 97% figure that you have posted hundreds of times. That is a fact that is beyond dispute.
