Global Macro Trading Journal

I recommend you check out the chrome wave lite client. After doing some reading on the overall concept, and then giving the client I try, honestly I'm pretty blown away. I'm buying in to this one as soon as my cash hits.

I"m adding to Litecoin today, its looking great. if it comes down I will cut back but this feels like it will rocket higher

I agree with your sentiment on not over-researching to a certain degree, but at the same time the vast majority of these coins are knockoffs of something else that bring nothing to the table. I'm moving money right now to invest and I'm trying to at least pick the #1 of each type that brings a certain feature to the table. I'm hoping that when the inevitable volatile drops happen these will be the ones that are hurt the least and are bought up when participants take a step back after feeling some pain and re-evaluate their options.
Hi ,I now have two methods in these coins. First are my 'core' coins, they are a part of my asset allocation. I'm keeping it at 1-3%. I only buy the major coins, so Ether, Bitcoin cash, Litecoin, etc. I'm trying to replicate an 'etf' for these coins by owning several in small sizes.

Second, are my speculative swing/position plays. In these I will usually have a stop and will go solely by the chart+gut feel+something else.

I will take profits more aggresivelly on the later. Also, I might take a swing play, take profits but keep part of the swing and turn into a 'core' holding. I'm doing that with Bitcoin cash.

I not going to get into the fundamentals too deeply. During the 90's tech bubble, everything tech rose, it didn't matter how horrible it was. They would add .dom to the name and the stock would surge, silly things like that. In fact, I'm thinking that OMG is a buy, solely because of its name. I'm serious, a lot of sites will pick up on that pun and it might get more popular than it would otherwise it would be

"On the 14th of August 2017, BTC-e confirmed they would be returning under a different brand name and would be returning 55% of customer funds, these funds will be available for withdrawal after KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures. The other remaining 45% of customer funds will be available in the form of BTC-e tokens with a different value."

So a recovery of 60 cents on the dollar or something? Scary but better than nothing

In the past I was thinking about investing in some of these ICOs but I dont think I will any longer. I much rather monitor the coin universe (the ones that are liquid) through charts and let the market tell me what to buy. If I start to read about these stories, I'm certain I will get bagged into some pump and dumps. I suspect there is some of that going on with the Mark Cuban ICO. It might still be a buy but its better to let it survive the test of the market first

I'm sure a lot of these ICOs will be huge runners, the thing is, I can only invest so much in capital. I think its better for me to do my selective swing trades than to spend a lot of time looking around for ICOs, that might not even do all that great anyway

Buying Ripple RXP here. I like how this chart is setting up but I'm getting close to my max exposure on these things. At least for now, if I keep profiting I will pyramid this sizing up

I just wired another 1% to Kraken for further trades/long-term positions. The thesis is very simple, this is 1997/1998 and cryptos are the new tech stocks. This is likely to go a lot further and last longer than people think
I thought this was all overdone short-term but when Bitcoin broke through $3000 and rose $1400 from there, then that just shows that nobody understands what is going on, and the default answer should be to buy
Hey, enjoy reading your thread. So to use your 97/98 tech stock analogy, where /what is your final exit strategy ? 100k invested in "tech 97/98" when to 1mm and THEN to zero. Where was the success in that ?
