Giving up on day trading?

Quote from crgarcia:

It is said some could read tape into profits before the advent of computers.
Not now. Even market makers quit their businesses due to losses.
you will have to pull up the tape to see how his calls worked out ......wave on 5/28 nailed every move n the es within .50,he doesnt share like that every day but there are plenty of tape readers who can churn big bucks daytrading, watch time and sales and set it to 100 minimum lots, you will see 100's and 200's being scalped in the morning , and the afternoon, skip midday...you just start one of these threads every so often to stir things up http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64965&perpage=6&pagenumber=14244

Livermore also said the following:

" I think it was a long step forward in my trading education when I realized what old Mr Partridge kept on telling other customers, "well, you know this is a bull market!" he really meant to tell them that the big money was not in the individual fluctuations but in the main movements that is, not in reading the tape but in sizing up the entire market and it's trend."

I guess Crater didn't want to share his "tools and areas to investigate" with all of us. :(

Ahh PSPR patience my friend – it is a trader’s good friend

Let’s use some of that psychology and common sense I spout on about and see if we can come up with a possible why

Maybe the responses overwhelmed him and he’s changed his mind…. Dang if that many want it maybe I should not share it

Maybe he needs time to dissect his material and pull out the stuff he’d rather not share

Maybe he’s sent it out to some – other than us

Maybe he got busy and hasn’t been back to check out the responses

Maybe he’s seen the responses but hasn’t had time to respond

Maybe he’s lost interest

Maybe he was BS’s us

Not judging, just considering the possibilities – then deciding the next move

Mine – sit on my hands and observe….. We’ve place our bet – so now we sit and see if it turns out profitable…, or not…

I wonder sometimes if he’s not a plant – whose sole purpose is doing just this….

I just can’t see any person holding a grudge so long…

Be like me joining a running forum and saying no one can run 26 miles… over... and over.... and over... and over......

pfffftttt

Yes, all are logical possibilities. We've made our pleas to his offer and only time will tell. I really can't blame him either way. If I had spent a decade or more refining a workable system would I be willing to share openly with others the path to enlightenment? Possibly not.

Find one method for entry, then the important aspect of trading are the 30 plus rules on how to manage the trade after you are in.

Where can I find these 30 plus rules?

Thanks
