and for my new year's resolution, I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING WITH A MAIL-IN-REBATE

I hate them -- but perhaps you could start a business by offering 50 cents on the dollar for people who bring in valid rebates. I'm sure there are enough instant gratifists out there who would do it.
 
Yes, I agree all these "mail in rebates" "store savings cards" and that type of thing are a real pain. Why can't they give us the money off at the time of purchace. I must have 10 of those "store savings cards" in my tiny purse and it is a major cramp in the ass.
