I honestly don't care if you consider it paranoia or not. I don't cut corners when it comes to my family's safety. Still, I'm wondering why you haven't discussed all the problems with these weapons in cities like Chicago, Baltimore, etc...why is it you continue to avoid that discussion? And it's "amygdala", not amygdyla. You know, since we're talking about brain function and all.

Again, wrong. It's amazing how wrong you can be, and how often. The US will continue to see innocent people die from assault rifles and handguns because of the criminals that commit those crimes. Paranoid gun nuts, as you refer to them, don't commit these crimes.

So when semi-auto handguns and rifles are outlawed and successfully removed from society, what will the next phase be when the children are being killed by 6 cylinder revolvers and shotguns (for the sake of this question, forget that this does happen now though with less news coverage)? Will law abiding citizens then be asked to sacrifice their shotguns and revolvers? Serious question for FC or others.

Was Adam Lanza a criminal? How about the Las Vegas shooter?

Had they not been able to easily obtain assault rifles fewer people would have died. This is the case in almost every mass murder. No handguns or assault rifles = fewer dead innocent children. Your children could be in the next Las Vegas or Sandy Hook. Let's see how owning an AR15 helps you then.

Yes, and regular rifles and shotguns would do just fine. Assault rifles just make it easier to kill many people quickly.

All handguns should be banned. Too easily concealed. And if Adam Lanza and the Las Vegas shooter had only shotguns fewer kids would have died.
