FC, you're pissing in the wind with Tsing. It is people like him who are the reason that meaningful, multi-pronged remedial steps are not taken. Therefore, he shares the burden of responsibility. And he's supposedly the kinder, gentler version of KKKintheBeltway.
Says you. And your opinion means fuck-all to anyone but you. I say they are needed to defend against bad guys that have them. Defending against a bad guy with an AR15 while using a long rifle or shotgun is like racing a corvette with a honda. Sure, you can win, but the odds are significantly in the Corvette's favor.
Like the point I tried to make and you missed a few posts back, how many home invasions are done with ARs?
You're right, I did miss that post. Can you show me where you made the statement that AR15's aren't used in home invasions?
Also, I went looking for actual statistics on this, but couldn't seem to find any. Please see if you can. What I did find is a bunch of news articles where it had happened. That tells me it happens, and that's good enough for me to want to prevent it in my home with my family.
Then don't keep any in YOUR home but don't presume you have the wisdom to tell everyone else how to protect OUR families, fredocurrents.

Exactly. This is true across a bunch of topics. Conservatives mostly wanting to be left alone, Liberals always pushing their way of life on everyone else.
So, you're paranoid. This irrational paranoia and anxiety is common to gun nuts. It's the overactive amygdyla that is also common with conservatives.
So because of the paranoid gun nuts, the US will continue to see innocent people die from assault rifles and handguns.
