Give me Security for Liberty : Trump

That's his downfall. DJT dropped the bomb a few times this week in various speeches, 'give me security over liberty'. Many of our fears and suspicions are true; Trump is a closet authoritarian. And I still support him. I figure more of the same regarding the NSA. If he really dials it up then I guess we boot his ass out. Immigration and offshoring is so important though.

What to do?

Just 2 cents:

A simple truth, well, may be:

How hard the "Total Number" of terrorists can be completely uncovered, under control/monitored and avoiding reproduction, before the number can be managed and reduced systematically and systemically?!

Five truths about terrorism

US politics has been captured by terrorists.

In December, polls showed that one in six Americans, about 16 percent of the population, now identify terrorism as the most important national problem, up from just 3 percent the previous month.

This is the highest percentage of Americans to mention terrorism in a decade, although it is still lower than the 46 percent measured after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

2. Terrorism is not the biggest threat facing people in advanced countries.

Terrorism kills far fewer people than car accidents or cigarettes.

Indeed, terrorism is not even a big threat – or a small one, for that matter.

One is likelier to be struck by lightning than to be killed by a terrorist.

Experts estimate that an American’s annual risk of being killed by a terrorist is one in 3.5 million.

Americans are more likely to die in an accident involving a bathtub (one in 950,000), a home appliance (one in 1.5 million), a deer (one in two million), or a commercial airliner (one in 2.9 million).

Six thousand Americans die annually from texting or talking on the phone while driving.

That is several hundred times more than die from terrorism.

Radical Islamic terrorism kills fewer Americans than attacks by disgruntled workplace and school shooters.

Terrorism is not World War III.

Terrorism is the biggest threat to America, but it originates in D.C. and Boardrooms across the country. Radical Islam can only dream of doing so much damage.

It's a big deal. Trump said he would rather have somebody listening to his phone calls to live in a safe America. Means the whole NSA spying goes full steam ahead.
