You see this as some made for tv bullshit but it’s bigger and more important than you think.

As for simplifying justice down to “big kills”, again, you watch too much tv. I have told you this before, these are serious people who will not be deterred by rhetoric.

How it looks should not be the standard by which a decision should be made in this matter. Trump has admitted he obstructed justice in his writing of that Don Jr memo. We are here.

Although it does look bad for the DOJ to defy or alter a standing internal memo to pursue an indictment against a sitting president it should not compel inaction nor should action be definitely pursued. It just is simply time to figure this out.

As to the process being a burden on the president to effectively carry out his duties, the congress and states saw fit to adopt the 25th amendment and there is room in there for seemless transition if the president should be incapable.

Saying it’s a “political thing” because there are congressional elections every two years is kind of a weak argument. You may as well say “solar thing” because the sun rises every morning.

Mueller does not need to move the case because you’re impatient or Trump’s legal team is slow walking it. Mueller needs to conduct a complete and thorough investigation. That’s all.

And Mueller is in the driver's seat here- not Trump. If Mueller had the evidence Trump could not slow it down. It is Mueller's problem that he needs to have Trump to step in the doo-doo for him to have a case.

I guess the going-gangbusters routine has hit a slow period. Yup. More time needed. Just as Ken Starr needed more time. Bubba was charged with a crime that was committed 18 months after Starr was appointed. Thanks for reminding us that witch hunts take time. Why doesnt Weisman just go over to the white house in the middle of the night and kick the door in and arrest Trump. Oh, I see. Trump is delaying because that is his best legal strategy. I would argue that sitting with Mueller and spilling his guts is the best option but somehow I don’t think that’s where this is going.

I wouldn’t expect Mueller to pursue any tertiary or unrelated charges like Starr. Most people agree Start overstepped.
