They should just shutdown the border and let Mexico feed and take care of those 3,000 people they let in! I guarantee you they will deport those people if they actually, had to take them in! And letting in those 3,000 people into the US will send the wrong message to others to just come here and you will get all the freebies! Next time, you would have 10,000 or even 20,000 then, 50,000! We need to close the borders now. Let Mexico pay for the consequences! Trade with the US will be disrupted and they lose out big! Mexico will get serious when they see the US get serious! Their President is a Socialist! Remember that fact!
 
Both parties are terribly weak on immigration/border control. They've done their calculations and decided to accept the collateral damage of this weakness.
Let's take a look at the positives of our current policy.
We get cheap landscaping and motel maid service.
We save a couple bucks at the produce counter.
We get cheap unskilled and semi-skilled labor in manufacturing.

What do the two parties get?
Both get the never ending debate on the campaign trial. Always important for the slugs in congress.
The democrats get the voting block.
The republicans get the slave labor.

What is the collateral damage suffered by the general public?
Increased gang activity.
Increased drug running.
Increased sex trafficking.
Increased human trafficking.
Increased burden on social services.
Increased crime in general.
Increased burden on the penal system.
Increased rape.
And oh yeah, there's that whole increased murder thing among their own population and citizens.

So when you go out for lunch today, enjoy that cheap BLT. Someone died for it.
 
We’ve had this argument before and I’m glad to see you guys have finally come around to the legal issues with using the military on the border.

Martial law is the only action Trump can take with the military considering he is a total failure in almost every area in getting his agenda through Congress, including immigration and the border.

Anyone got any up to date numbers on apprehensions and deportations?
